Converting
Which banks are supported?
Most banks whose PDF statements contain text and a transaction table with dates, descriptions, amounts and usually a balance. We read column headings in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Indonesian, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Vietnamese and Hindi, and three layouts: one signed amount column, debit and credit columns, or amounts with CR / DR markers. The preview shows you the result before you pay.
Can you read scanned or photographed statements?
Not yet. A scan is a picture of the page with no text inside. We detect it and tell you, and you are not charged.
My PDF is password-protected.
Open it with its password, save or print a copy without a password, and upload that copy.
What are the limits?
One PDF at a time, up to 15 MB and 30 pages. Split longer statements into parts.
Which formats do I get?
Excel (.xlsx) with a Transactions sheet and a Summary sheet, and CSV (UTF-8, comma separated). Both come with every download.
How accurate is it?
Every row is checked against the running balance printed on the statement, and the opening balance plus all transactions is compared with the closing balance. Rows that do not match are flagged on the page and shaded in the Excel file. The converter is not perfect: always check the totals before you rely on them.
What does "Not checked" mean?
Some statements print no opening or closing balance, or no running balance. The transactions are still converted, but there is nothing to check them against, so check them yourself.
Privacy
What happens to my file?
Your PDF is processed on our own server, in an isolated and locked-down process, and deleted as soon as the conversion finishes. The spreadsheet is kept for 1 hour so you can download it, then deleted automatically.
Does anyone look at my statement?
No. Conversion is fully automatic. Nobody reads your file unless you send it to us yourself for support.
Is my statement used to train AI?
No. Your file is not sent to any AI service, not shared with any other company, and not used to train anything.
Do you use cookies or trackers?
One functional cookie, which holds a random number used only to apply the one-free-file-a-day limit. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts. Cloudflare, which serves and protects the site, may set strictly necessary security cookies.
Payment
How does the free file work?
Your first file of the day, if it has 3 pages or fewer, can be downloaded in full for free. The limit is one per browser and per internet connection per day (UTC).
Who processes my payment?
Polar, our merchant of record, on its own secure checkout page. Polar issues your receipt and handles sales tax or VAT. We never see your card details.
How do credit packs work?
A pack of 10 or 50 files gives you a credit code. Each file you unlock uses one credit, on any device. Credits are valid for 12 months. Keep the code private: anyone who has it can use your credits.
I lost my credit code.
It is in your receipt email. If you cannot find it, email [email protected] with your Polar receipt and we will help.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If a file you paid for could not be converted usably, email [email protected] within 14 days with your receipt. Unused pack credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
No account and no subscription. You pay for what you convert.
