BankConv alternative: pay per file, no subscription

BankConv sells a single statement as a pay-per-document purchase and also offers monthly and yearly plans. That is close to our model, so this comparison is mostly about price, page limits and how long files are kept.

What Tanod does

  • Pay per file: USD 2.99 for a file of up to 30 pages, or packs of 10 (USD 19) and 50 (USD 69). No subscription and no account.
  • The first file each day is free if it has 3 pages or fewer: one per browser and per internet connection per UTC day.
  • Every row is checked against the running balance printed on the statement, and the opening balance plus all transactions against the closing balance. Rows that do not match are flagged. If a statement prints no balances, it says "Not checked".
  • The PDF is removed when the conversion finishes and the spreadsheet is deleted 1 hour after conversion.
  • Excel and CSV output only.

Payments are opening soon. Until then, conversion and the preview are open to everyone, and your first file of up to 3 pages each day is free to download.

When BankConv may be the better fit

  • You convert many pages a month: their plans list a lower cost per page (for example 500 pages a month on the Starter plan) than paying per document.
  • You want OFX, QFX or Google Sheets output. Our output is Excel and CSV.
  • Your statements are longer than 30 pages. We accept up to 30 pages per file; their pay-per-document price continues at a per-page rate beyond 10 pages.
  • You want a free account that adds pages each day: their page says a free account adds 5 pages a day.

We only compare what each pricing page states. We make no claim about how accurate or good any other converter is.
